ABOUT CENTRAL ELECTRICITY BOARD

      The Central Electricity Board (CEB) is a parastatal body wholly owned by the Government of Mauritius and operating under the aegis of the Ministry of Energy and Public Utilities. Established in 1952 and empowered by the Central Electricity Board Act of 25 January 1963, the CEB's business is to "prepare and carry out development schemes with the general object of promoting, coordinating and improving the generation, transmission, distribution and sale of electricity" in Mauritius.

      CEB FIBERNET

      CEB (FIBERNET) Co Ltd is a private company, fully owned by the CEB. It is licensed by the ICTA to provide Wholesale Data Services to licensed operators in Mauritius. It is leveraging on CEB’s extensive utility infrastructure (OPGW/ADSS) and METISS submarine international connectivity to encourage the deployment of world-class broadband infrastructure in the country.


      CEB FACILITIES

      CEB (FACILITIES) Co. Ltd is a private company fully owned by the CEB. It provides a number of services, including Cleaning Services, Security Services, and Tree Lopping. It is also responsible for the operation of a Utility Call Centre which offers 24/7 call centre services to both CEB & CWA customers through their hotlines.


      CEB GREEN ENERGY

      The CEB (Green Energy) Co. Ltd (CGE) is a private company, fully owned by the CEB. Its business is to promote the development of Renewable Energy, particularly Solar Energy, for generation of electricity.


      CUSTOMER SERVICE PORTAL

      The Customer Service Portal of the CEB provides online customer services and facilities. Behind a secure online registration and login, customers are empowered to do online payment, calculate their bills, check their consumption or balance, and get their account statements.
